Perennial. Native to East and Central US and Canada. Full Sun. June-Aug yellow/orange blooms. Average dry to medium, well drained soil. 1′-3′ tall. Attracts butterflies. Tolerates deer, drought, erosion, dry soil, shallow-rocky soil.
